How does a PPA work? 

A PPA is an arrangement made whereby an energy retailer such as Step Ahead Solar will design, install and maintain a solar system at the their own cost, and the business client agrees to site the system on their property and purchase the solar system’s electric output at a reduced price.

Step Ahead Solar owns the system for a contracted time, usually 10 years, during which the business continues to purchase the power it produces at a reduced rate. At the end of the contract, the business will own the solar system outright.
